food stamp outreach
Overview
Shared Harvest Foodbank's FEED Alliance Project is one of only sixteen faith- and community-based organizations nationwide that were awarded outreach grants to improve access to and awareness of the FNS Food Stamp Program for eligible low-income households. The FNS is studying the effectiveness of different outreach strategies to educate eligible people about the nutrition benefits of the program, eligibility rules and application guidelines.
